Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise national park
The National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise is one of the oldest parks in Italy renowned internationally for the role played in the conservation of some of the most important faunistic species in Italy such as Appennine wolf, Abruzzo chamois and the brown Marsican bear, as well as the first and numerous initiatives for the modernization and localization of environ mentalism.
The National Park of Abruzzo is a tourist destination suitable for all seasons of the year. In the summer it is possible to organize hiking, mountain biking or horse riding, accompanied by expert guides; Hiking in high altitude or windsurfing in the Lake of Barrea.
In the winter months, near Pescasseroli ski lovers will have fun on miles of snow-covered slopes.
